Transforming
Since 1998, I’ve been producing watercolours of a very special kind - on
transparent paper. This is normally unsuitable for watercolours, as it can barely be controlled in such a demanding technique. Over the years I’ve been making experiments with photocopies of those images. These photocopies generated a variety of images by using the colour-settings of the photocopier. I’ve also tried the fax machine in order to reproduce those images, allowing them to suffer the action of time and then, registering the very transformations of these faxes over time. Finally, in 2004 I turned those images into photo-etchings. This has produced esthetically pleasing
