TEMPUS FUGIT
For this exhibitoin, whose theme is the time, Renato Brancatelli shows papercuts representing images from outer space to be seen by transparent atmosphere, such as a Brazilian tropical beach, where the stars would shine on the poet´s head. The poet observes not only the stars, but also artificial satelites crossing the skies of our polluted biosphere. As a poet he doesn´t mean to relate space and time the way a physicist would do. There is no pedagogical meaning attached to his representations of galaxies or stars which in fact don´t really exist.
